Growing Local offer a range of educational pre-school, primary and secondary school workshops. Our sessions are also available to community and youth groups including Duke of Edinburgh students, brownies, guides, cubs and scouts. Our workshops aim to enthuse our visitors about the benefits and pleasures of growing, cooking and eating fresh, seasonal and local fruit and vegetables, helping to transform engagement and understanding of where our food comes from.
We started work creating our new children’s educational garden in October 2023 and aim to be open to visiting groups in April 2024. During the development we welcome enquiries from youth groups and secondary schools to help construct and design our gardens.
