Thank you to the Ernest Cook Trust for supporting the salary of our Education Officer in 2019.
Thanks to the Herefordshire Community Foundation the Pippin Trust funded sixteen primary school Gardening, African Gardening and Harvest Cook Workshops throughout the 2018 growing season. In 2019 the Pippin Trust are kindly further funding ten more primary school workshops at the garden and four weekend or holiday Family Cook Workshops at Community Centres in Hereford.
The E F Bulmer Benevolent Fund have very kindly supported our primary school workshop programme for three years, funding 11 workshops in 2017, 16 in 2018 and 25 in 2019.
The Greggs Community Foundation sponsored seven workshops at our garden allotment and field kitchen in 2018 for children and young people with learning and/or physical difficulties.
In 2018 The Big Lottery Awards for All programme funded 26 Healthy Cook Club sessions throughout 2018 at our field kitchen, in schools and at the Kindle Centre in Hereford. Many of these were Family Cook Workshops in schools holidays which were an enormous success.
In 2018 we received funding from the Youth Social Action Fund to inspire young people from Herefordshire to take part in social action and volunteer with us at our garden.
Following in-store voting across Hereford Tesco branches Tesco’s Bags of Help scheme supported a number of primary school workshops in the autumn of 2017.
Thank you to the Trusthouse Charitable Foundation for supporting our primary school educational programme throughout 2017.
Big Lottery Fund funded the establishment of our Harvest-Cook Workshops at the plot and in-school Cookery Workshops between 2016 and 2017.
Previously the fund also supported the establishment of our Growing Local garden.
Comic Relief have funded our African Garden Workshops and Family Days in 2015 and 2016.
The Ernest Cook Trust financed the appointment of our primary school Education Officer in 2016 and 2017.
