About Growing Local
Growing Local is a community interest company that encourages and educates communities to grow, cook and eat local food.
In the summer of 2023 Growing Local took over a new 19-acre site on the southern edge of Hereford to establish Southside Farm. The farm grows organic veg for a box scheme and wholesale and is home to our educational garden and orchards.
In late 2026 our Community Cook Studio will open.

Sign up to receive a seasonal, local, fresh Veg Box every Wednesday. Collect direct from our Southside Farm or hub points in Hereford and beyond. Home deliveries within Hereford by Pedicargo.
We grow our vegetables sustainably following agro-ecological methods. We became organic certified in 2025 by the Biodynamic Association.
Educational Projects
Growing Local offer a range of growing, nature, sustainability and cook workshops to pre-schools, primary and secondary schools, community groups, families and adults.
Our new education garden was constructed in 2024 and we are now open to school and community group visits as well as a programme of holiday workshops. Come along to our Tuesday volunteer days, Friday Lunch Club or Big Eat events.
