Saturday 4th May – Volunteer & Information Day

A date for the diary!

 

On Saturday 4th May we are starting our series of monthly volunteer and information mornings (future dates 22nd June, 20th July)

 

The Growing Local team will be on site between 10am to 1pm to talk about our project and future crop shares (veggies will be available from July!).

 

At 10am we will run a ‘Walk & Talk’ of the new site and show you the progress we have made in a few short months

 

Lots of volunteering opportunities too on the day! Come along and help develop our Children’s Garden and CSA growing areas. This is a great opportunity to take part if you cannot make our Tuesday sessions.

 

Families are very welcome – we’ll make sure we have plenty of tasks for your little ones!

If cycling or walking – we are situated at the end of the Great Western Way foot/cycle path, go past the football fields and you will see our fields on either side the path as you head towards Grafton – we are likely to be in the main growing field – field 1 on the map below.

If driving: We are currently able to use the car park of Belmont Wanderers – it is just off Vernons Williams Close in Newton Farm, Hereford (HR2 7BF). Coming from Hereford on the Belmont Road, turn left at the Tesco’s roundabout into Southolme Road. Go over the little roundabout, up the hill, through the chicanes and then turn right onto Vernon Williams Close. Follow the close round to the left and you’ll see the car park at the end.
